HADOL rose through the ashes just like Lebanon after the war. Mr. George Haddad (founder) came back to Lebanon after living for almost 30 years in Germany and leading a successful life. Although the country was destroyed after the war, Mr. Haddad decided to come back as he noticed that through his technical knowledge and experience that he gained in Germany, he can initiate a change in Lebanon. By establishing HADOL, George Haddad initiated a development process and a philosophy of selling oil. He helped the technicians to solve problems within the car engines through changing the type of oil used rather than taking the whole engine out and repairing it. In addition, he imported used scanners from Germany to our clients which were more affordable and he provided an exclusive service of mounting up the whole apparatus and providing maintenance, a service which did not exist at the time in Lebanon.

The next step for Mr. Haddad’s development plan was to take his clients to Germany. He took his clients to one of the biggest car trade shows in Frankfurt so that they see the latest technologies and buy tools or machines that would help them in fixing cars more efficiently. In addition to that Mr. Haddad insisted on letting every mechanic visit the automaker of his specialty. Mercedes Benz mechanics for example got the opportunity to visit the company in Germany and see in their own eyes the origin of the cars they are repairing back in Lebanon. Mr. Haddad’s selling philosophy, which he called “Sales with exclusivity” was a very rewarding strategy. He believes that selling to exclusive clients is more beneficial rather than selling everyone in our small and condensed industrial cities. With this philosophy, HADOL’s clients were preserved and are more like friends to Mr. Haddad who stuck with him during tough times that the country witnessed.

Through George Haddad, HADOL is more than a company which sells oil. It is a company that seeks to move the Lebanon foreword. It is a company who connected Lebanon with Germany and did initiate a change for the last 25 years. And it will continue to do so by providing technical assistance and opening business opportunities for anyone interested.
